So I decided to go shopping for fabulous, must-have pieces that would stand the test of time in my new ‘soon to be European’ wardrobe. They needed to be high quality (check!) chic (check!) and versatile. What initially drew me to this dress was the rising temperatures here in Germany and yet the need to feel still put together in an easy dress.
Now let’s talk about styling. This dress is gorgeous, it’s a light fabric but with a luxurious feel to it and it is so easy to just wear as is. I love the asymmetrical pockets and the carefree ease with which you can wear it. To complement that nonchalance I added a pair of ASOS sandals, my nod to the Chanel pair taking over the internet these days (alternative tweed pair HERE.) A simple pair of mixed metal chained earrings round out the look and you are ready to take this mint dream of a dress anywhere.
This dress absolutely transforms when unbuttoned into one of the chicest pieces of outerwear in my closet. Toss if off the shoulder just enough with a pair of high waisted paper bag Isabel Marant Jeans and some Bottega inspired heels and you instantly have a LOOK.
A recent trend on Instagram I have been loving is ‘7 Ways to Wear’ started by @slipintostyle encouraging each of us to find 7 ways you think you can wear an item before purchasing. I may not always know of 7, but for this mint trench dress, I have several already in mind and I can’t wait to wear it again. How would you style this trench dress?
