When Hype Goes Wrong: Why the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Has Gotten a Bad Rap, and Why You Should Shop it Anyway

As you guys know I am from Seattle, born and raised, which means I am also a Nordstrom girl through and through. Need proof? The first job my parents ‘encouraged’ me to get on my first winter break in college was at Nordstrom Rack. After that I went on to work in 4 different stores in 2 states and even interned with the company during school. If that wasn’t enough, as an adult I worked at Nordstrom’s Corporate Headquarters for 4 years before quitting to spend my time on this, my fashion blog. Hello Yellow! 1 Easy Trick to Breathe New Life into Last Year’s Favorite Color

An Afternoon with Kroger + A Fantastic Contour Palette

Two weeks ago I had the privilege of attending a Kroger Beauty event at the beautiful Sole Repair shop in Capital Hill. We had amazing food, beverages and beauty pampering sessions. It’s always great to connect with other bloggers especially under such luxurious circumstances. I got my nails and makeup done and absolutely fell in love with the Maybelline Master Contour Palette that Kori from @Chromatiquesalon used on my face. I felt like I was glowing! This past week I popped into my local Fred Meyer store and there it was! The palette of my dreams just ready for me to take home along with all of my other grocery…

The Official Color of Summer 2018: Lilac

It was absolutely everywhere during the Spring 2018 collections and now it’s official: Lilac is the color of the summer. Also the trend doesn’t seem to be a hint of the color like with most bold trends. Instead the preferred way to wear lilac is head to toe, which is exactly the kind of statement I can get on board with. Why Lilac is so Popular Pastel colors have been very popular as of late but that doesn’t mean they are easy to wear. Yet somehow lilac seems to flatter a large variety of skin tones. Perhaps this is why the appeal of lilac is so vast, anyone can wear…
