Happy Fashion Week! In case you weren’t aware New York has kicked off Fashion Month with the FW15 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Despite being the last season at Lincoln Center and losing the Benz sponsorship this fashion week has other wise not disappointed. One of my biggest takeaways thus far from New York’s fashion week is that the trends that emerged so strongly this last fall of ’14 are all staying with us and only getting more refined and pronounced. But more on that later.
Today’s outfit has a springy feel with the white and the fringe however it still is winter so I am wearing boots as pseudo hosiery to keep my legs warm and a leather skirt which paired with this chunky fringe sweater does quite nicely in the warmth department. The non-traditional leather trend (aka leather skirts, coats, shirts etc) is big for Fall ’15 as well so I am investing in those pieces and holding onto them.
